33 Years. One City. Same Phone Number.
Our Story
Bill Silcox started Silcox Contracting in 1993 with a truck, a tool belt, and a roofing license. The plan was simple — do honest work for Jacksonville homeowners at fair prices, and let the reputation build itself.
33years later, the truck became a fleet, the one license became five, and the small roofing crew became a full-service general contracting firm. But the approach never changed. Bill still shows up on job sites. He still answers his phone. And he still won't cut corners on a project — whether it's a roof patch in Arlington or a custom build in Ponte Vedra.
Today Silcox holds active Florida licenses in general contracting, roofing, home inspection, mold assessment, and mold remediation. That means we can inspect it, assess it, and fix it ourselves — no subcontractor roulette.
We're also one of Jacksonville's most experienced contractors for FHA 203K renovation loans. We've been doing these since before most local contractors knew what a 203K was — helping homebuyers purchase fixer-uppers and finance the renovation in a single mortgage. It's complicated paperwork that scares off most builders. We've done it hundreds of times.

Bill Silcox
Owner & FounderBill started in construction before most of today's contractors graduated high school. 33years in, he still walks every job site, still picks up his own phone, and still holds five active Florida licenses — because in this business, if you can't inspect it, assess it, and fix it yourself, you're guessing.

500+ Projects. Zero Shortcuts.
From Riverside bungalow rehabs to Ponte Vedra custom builds. Every project gets the same crew, the same standards, and the same follow-through — whether it's a $5K roof repair or a $500K new home.
We Answer the Phone.
When a tree goes through your roof at midnight or your kitchen floods on a Sunday, you need someone who picks up. We do. That's been true since 1993.
Jacksonville Is Home.
We've been here since before the Jaguars. We know which neighborhoods flood, which inspectors are strict, and which suppliers actually deliver on time. That's not something a crew from Orlando can offer.
Five Licenses. One Company.
General contracting, roofing, home inspection, mold assessment, and mold remediation. Most contractors hold one or two. We hold five — because we'd rather do the work ourselves than hand it off to someone we can't vouch for.
